In this event, we posted two descriptive quotes, and then get to choose which ones (besides our own) that we'd like to illustrate. I chose Mels's first quote, as seen above. I wanted to go with a more simple color scheme on this one, mainly for contrast factor, and I thought the dark purple would look nice to be highlighted with a cyan hue, so there you go. For the fish, I chose an angelfish, because I find them to be quite pretty and wanted to do something more interesting that a goldfish.

I chose to put the fish in an ornament hanging off of the tree for two reasons. One, because an ornament implies something for show, or at least done to please (appealing factor) and look pretty. The quote by Einstein seems to insinuate that, that we just try to climb a ladder or a hierarchy to try to make ourselves better, or look smarter, or what have you, but that's not the way to achieve greatness or brilliance. The second reason is because inside the ornament, you might be safe, but you never learn to step outside your comfort zone and challenge yourself. You never look to improve yourself and grow as an individual, and so for that reason, this enclosed space hinders you. And - referring back to the quote - if you believe yourself to be stupid, why would you bother trying to achieve anything greater, if you feel that you've already lost? This mindset only stops you. Instead, "Aim for the moon! Even if you miss, you will land among the stars."
